The Revelation
The shining light is the revelation
Conceals the disloyalty and exposes the distraction
We are but mortals with sins together
Learning their indulgence through artificial virtue.
Though we may believe in integrity
In decency and honesty of social beings
For a moment we forget we can be evil
The ache hurt and harm we can inflict.
Suffering caused by thought
Reveals the desire to cause gaping wounds
The unguarded offense confirms insult
Leaving fissures in the association.
Close the wound and restore the untruth
Learn the sins and doubt the story
We cannot sail stormy nights forever
Trust and confidence will never reappear.
Strength of will and faith
Forms the clutter in the mind
Forever confusing and confounding
Until insanity seems set to appear.
