Changed Seasons

Changed Seasons

Autumn is upon us
The ambiance is cooler now
Activities and actions seem more intense
As we prepare for the change.

Late summer was a happy time
We had laughter fun and excitement
Everything was new and precious
I was happy this time.

As we approach winter
The mood is a somber one
Subdued tones reach forward
We stall momentum.

The expectation of seasons
Ought to brighten with age
The truth of time next spring
Will reveal the real change.

The years were kind
The seasons danced
Tomorrow there will be celebration
In the midst of adversity.

I will be happy again soon
As the winter of sadness ends
Favourable conditions conspire
To make ideal this din.
