Treasure

Treasure

Life provides small treasures
Like diamonds in the wind
Like a soothing hail stone
And a scattering of leaves in a whirlwind.

We have to take this time
To appreciate these wonders
We have so little time left
And a moment that ponders.

Optimistic and cheerful
Is what I want to be
As I hope for the best
In whatever I can see.

We sit at the crossroads
Of life’s myriad blues
And wish we could find direction
In mournful colourful hues.

There is no such blossom
As a life full of treasures
We hanker down as best we can
To cherish the prizes of pleasures.

Sometimes we wish we had it all
To hear the truth being told
And one can gather a loving wish
Seized in a sizzling hold.
